Overview
Melbourne Victory’s flamboyant import Carlos Hernandez continued a brilliant 2009/10 campaign by taking out the highest individual accolade the Johnny Warren Medal for the Hyundai A-Leagueʼs player of the season.
Hernandez blitzed the field, topping the poll voted on by his peers with 673 votes ahead of Gold Coast United goal machine Shane Smeltz with 431 votes. Hernandez made 9 assists and banged in 12 goals, including some spectacular long range goals to drive Melbourne Victory to the Grand Final.
